Gender reassignment surgery or gender correction surgery is a surgical intervention done for people with gender dysphoria.

The whole transition from a man to woman is accomplished through a few surgical procedures, which can be performed either in single or two stages. These procedures are listed below:

• Penectomy – Surgical excision of the penis.
• Bilateral orchidectomy– Surgical excision of both testicles.

Next stage is the Placement of penile implants for penile hardness and erection. A penile implant is placed after 6-7 months of phalloplasty.

• Recovery – one week, sexual activity can be resumed after 2 months of surgery
